I received exceptional service from e-Car Menlyn! Firstly, they managed to assist me on short notice. They kept with their quoted price even though they forgot to add a small detail, which they included and reduced labour to keep to the original quotation. The shuttle driver is extremely friendly and even made an additional stop, on my request, when taking me to work. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and I would recommend their services.

I have had two very good experiences at E-car. I first went in about an overheating problem. Everything was tested and found to be in excellent working condition. Then my car threatenef to boil again
I asked for the faulty thermostat to be replaced. The invoice was half the estimate! My car is working correctly. They were very knowledgable and professional, checking up a week later. Highly recommended!

Five Star Service! I reached out to several suppliers for quotes, and they were the very first to get back to me. The repair work was excellent and the service was professional. Friendly staff and great communication throughout. I'll definitely be back!!

I would like to sincerely thank Migette, Johan, and the entire team of automotive engineers at e-Car Menlyn for the outstanding service and professionalism I received with my Chevrolet Sonic 1.6 Automatic.
My vehicle is a 2013 model with only around 41,000 km on the clock, which means it has spent a lot of time standing still over the years. I recently noticed the car overheating, idling poorly, and the gears not shifting as they should. I immediately decided to book it in so that professionals could properly investigate the issues.
I booked the vehicle in for a major service, including the replacement of the timing belt. Even though the mileage was low, I chose to replace the timing belt because of the vehicle’s age rather than the kilometers driven.
On the first day, the mechanics informed me that the thermostat was faulty and needed replacement. They proceeded with all the required work professionally and kept me informed throughout the process.
By the second day, all the parts had been replaced, but the car still wasn’t idling or shifting correctly. What truly impressed me was that Johan, Migette, and the engineering team refused to give up until they found the root cause of the problem. After a thorough investigation, they discovered that an uncommon valve near the engine head needed cleaning. They cleaned it for me at virtually no additional cost.
I can highly recommend e-Car for anyone! Love them! ❤️

Didn't even get as far as booking my car in.
I was overwhelmingly thrilled at how efficient their WhatsApp bot service was. Booked and arranged drop off at home (confirmed with bot that this was possible as I am within the 10km radius that they service)
I then received a call from a lady advising that they can't drop me off because I'm outside of the 10km radius (I checked, I'm 9.1km from e-Car).
She then proceeded to ask me what type of steering my car has "because we don't do electrical steering". As the car experts, you should know what type of steering a car has when the make, model, variant, year etc etc has been given to you.
I cancelled the booking.

I’m 100% satisfied with the service I received from E-Car Menlyn. Everything on my car was fixed perfectly, and I really appreciate that everything was returned exactly as it should be — clean, correct, and intact.
The team was professional and did an excellent job. I would definitely bring my car back again in the future without hesitation.

Dropped Off Working, Collected in Limp Mode
I took my BMW to e-car Menlyn for a simple preventative suspension repair (steering rack ends, quoted around R2,400). On the first booking, they didn’t even have the parts and sent me away after I had already arranged transport — very unprofessional.
On the second attempt, they called to say the car was ready. When my wife collected it, the car wouldn’t start and went straight into limp mode with warning lights everywhere. The manager’s first response to me was, “Is there something you are hiding from me?” — despite the car being dropped off in perfect condition.
A few days later, they claimed water had entered the ECU and told me to call my insurance, saying they aren’t liable for anything they didn’t directly work on. The ECU ultimately had to be replaced and reprogrammed at a cost of ~R20,000. An independent specialist confirmed burn damage consistent with an electrical short, with no clear evidence of water corrosion.
When I had the car towed away, parts they had removed were dumped inside the vehicle. To make matters worse, once I finally got the car back on the road, the suspension was knocking again — bolts not properly tightened during the rack end installation (not the first time this has happened there).
Two months without my car, R20k out of pocket, and zero accountability.
Avoid.

E-Car exceeded my expectations. I took my car for major service about 3 days ago. Getting a quote and confirming the booking was super easy. Their staff are friendly and offer their best service. They made an effort to call and update me after the completion of each step. Their prices are reasonable compared to dealerships. I highly recommend

Please read below msg of my first review. I had to come change my review as they were very professional in handling this situation. Everybody makes mistakes and it takes a amazing company like this to handle it accordingly. Thank you guys.
Not impressed at all. Just dropped of my car. I double checked via email if my quotation was correct for the amount of R 3500 in that range. Just to point out I did double check via email if this quotation was correct and they approved it was. When I brought my car this morning I asked the person busy with my car if this is the correct quote as I ran it by him and he said yes. They phone me an hour later telling me they quoted me on a wrong vehicle which I agree is human error but it is also very concerning as these details I had to complete on their website platform. I also had to follow up on their WhatsApp platfrom as they did not reply when I asked when I can bring in my vehicle. I have to service my vehicle as I have no other time to do this so now the ammount they quote me is a R 1000 more. I did research of all service companies and they were the best price until i received the phone call. They are not the cheapest. I will add that the lady Natasha was really nice and friendly.

I had an outstanding experience with this workshop from the moment I arrived. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. The workshop is clean and well organised, which gives you confidence in the quality of their work. I also appreciated that they gave me all the old parts back after the service and repairs. It shows honesty, transparency and pride in their workmanship.
Migette truly stood out. Her communication was excellent throughout the entire day. Every time she told me she would call back at a specific time, she did so exactly on time. That level of reliability is rare and made the whole experience even better.
I was booked for 06:30 when they officially open, but I arrived early. As soon as Migette noticed me waiting, she came outside and checked me in even though they were not open yet. That small gesture showed real dedication to customer service.
My service and repairs were completed the same day, and the pricing was very affordable considering the professional level of work. I left feeling confident and extremely satisfied.
This workshop is professional, efficient, clean, and trustworthy. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for excellent service and real customer care.

Service was always good, but ECar has a new owner. I took my car in for a general service. I told them about a funny noice when driving and turn the wheel. When I got my car back , the glove box wasnt put back properly and fell down to the floor. The power stearing wheel oil was not changed and was about completely dried up, that was the reason for the weird noice om the stearing rod. And they are not fairly priced

Brought Audi here to have my turbo fixed. The car was kept for a very, very long time. They mentioned having to dissemble the car to get to the turbo because it was hard to reach. Got the car back with a broken steering column. It was perfectly fine when the car was left with them. We were quoted R70 000 to replace this.

I’m really satisfied with the service I received from E-Car Menlyn! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and taken care of. Sonika is such a professional young lady. She assisted me with the settlement of the amount and explained everything in detail, making sure I understood exactly what I was paying for. She also thoroughly explained what needs to be done on my vehicle to make it feel like new again.
Although Eugene was my service advisor, I spent most of the day speaking to Sonika, and I must say the way she and Eugene work together is amazing, they’re completely in sync, which really gave me confidence in the team.
I’ve already booked my vehicle for Monday to get the rest of the work done. What an amazing team! Highly recommend E-Car Menlyn.

I requested e-Car Menlyn to replace my vehicle's front bearings. 2 other companies could not assist within my time frame. After leaving the vehicle with them, they first performed a test drive and then informed me that the bearings were not faulty. They could gave just replaced them, but opted to rather loose out on the money and spare my the expense. Great service

I cannot recommend e-CAR MENLYN enough! These guys are absolutely fantastic. I've been taking my car there for 6 years now, and every single time they deliver exceptional service that goes above and beyond.
e-CAR MENLYN, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable and honest. He takes the time to explain exactly what needs to be done and why, and he always provides fair and transparent pricing. I've never felt pressured or upsold on unnecessary repairs.
The entire team is friendly, professional, and truly dedicated to customer satisfaction. They've even gone out of their way to help me with emergency repairs and squeezed me in when I had a tight deadline.
If you're looking for a reliable, trustworthy mechanic who will treat your car like their own, look no further than e-CAR MENLYN. They deserve way more than five stars!

Best experience i have ever received at a service centre. I called to make a booking and Sonica one of the advisors greated me so professional and so kind. When i brought the vehicle everyone made eveything so easy. I can see these people have a good work related relationship. Back to how my services went she gave me a quotation and kept me and my dad updated right through the day which almost never happens when i take my vehicle to work shops. She explained everything throughly which is shocking to me as shes such a young lady and knows so much. The services i received wasn't over priced at all i paid a decent amount for the work that has been done. When i came and collected the vehicle it was cleaned throughly without a charge. I would definitely recommend my friends and family to your company .Thank you for this great experience!
