When should you get your car repaired?
New cars include oil changes, air-conditioning, brakes, and tyres. Take a look at the owner’s manual or look at the service light on the dashboard of your vehicle. Some cars get serviced every 10 000 km and some cars can go up to 15 000 km therefore your owner’s manual that came with your vehicle will break down your service intervals. If you do not have an owner’s manual as you have bought a second-hand vehicle, then just do a quick internet search.
Get your vehicle maintained regularly to avoid a hefty bill. For example, if the timing belt snaps you are due for a very expensive bill to repair your vehicle, as this damages the internal metal parts of the engine.
A car repair workshop is a shop that offers to do minor or major repairs on cars. They are usually found in the carpark of a shopping mall or at a large shopping centre. All e-CAR car repair shops can be found here.
Basic Vehicle Maintenance
Check all fluid levels. Water and oil. Top-up if necessary.
Check battery terminals are securely tightened.
Check the condition of your tyres. Make sure you have enough tread.
Always consult the user manual if you are unsure. If the manual is not around contact your car workshop mechanic.
