Make your Easter Holiday road trip one to remember
Road tripping to your favourite holiday destination with friends or family can be a great bonding experience. There is nothing better than trading the crowded city streets for the open road and the beautiful landscapes that you can find all over our country. We all want to start our holiday in a zen-like state and end it feeling rejuvenated, but often they end up being highly stressful. This short guide aims to arm you with the tools you’ll need to fight off the tension and plan a hassle-free trip!
Prepping for a successful road trip takes planning. Safety is the top priority when driving in a car full of friends and family.
Firstly, get your car inspected and serviced at an e-CAR Service Centre. There is no substitute for the peace of mind that a thorough service provides. It’s the best way to ensure a problem-free road trip!
Get your tyres checked out for wear and tear, and if it’s been more than six months since you had a wheel balancing and tyre rotation done, get them attended to before your trip.
Check that your spare tyre is in good working condition and that you’ve got a jack, spanner and any special wheel lock nuts packed in the boot, as well as a high visibility triangle or jacket on hand if you break down.
If you are relying on a GPS Navigation system when on route to your holiday destination, make sure your GPS has the latest updated maps loaded, and you pack the charger.
For motoring peace of mind give one of our workshops or service centres a call and let them take care of your car.
